Christmas Toy Safety

Have you heard that iconic phrase “You’ll shoot your eye out!” from Ralphie’s mom in the The Christmas Story movie?  Very memorable and oh so true.    This gift giving season, inspect and research the toys your children are asking for before you purchase them.  Accidents involving children and toys occur and may result in eye injuries.  Every year, thousands of children suffer serious eye injuries, even blindness, from toys.  In December’s WV Eye News, you can watch Dr. Chris Stansbury discuss toy safety for the holiday season.  WV Eye wishes you all safe and happy celebrations for Christmas and the New Year.
